CITY SINGLE ELECTORATE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) . CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The South Island representation commission finished its sitting at Christchurch yesterday, and left for Dunedin this morning. The commission spent a good deal of time and trouble over the adjustment of the Christchurch seats, the object being to cut the elc-e torate u*j in such a manner as to P rer *r; any single seat being regarded as tW ••Christchurch" one. It is expected thai the report will be forwarded to «». Government about Wednesday next, l™ commissioners anticipate having som difficulty in adjusting the Dunedin boundaries to .satisfy everybody owing «*? awkwardness oi the distribution."
