AKA_K_2tA REFLE CLUB. The trophy matches of the A fr-iT-aim Rifle Club were resumed on Saturday afternoon, at Penrose. There was a large attendance. Mr R. G. Cox. w£_i the score of 90, registered the first win for Mr F. Combes' trophy—a mounted deer's bead. In the -_r Class Mr S. Ro-we won Mr Car-sen's trophy. . The eondarious were twelve men. ten shoo at 600 and 700 yards. The totals were: Karori Club, 765; Petone Club, 736; Battaheo, 712. CONTEST AT PAEROA. <By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) PARRO-A, .this day. A contest among ______ of the No. 1 Ohinemuri Rifles on Saturday for Mr W. Lyneh's trophy resulted in a win for Sergt. R. Hubbard. The conditions were 10 shots at 200 and 600 yards, and 20 at 500. Scores: Sergt. R. Hubbard (handicap 11) IS3. Sergt. Shaw (scratch) TT6, Corp. Ogden (handicap 10) 176, Sergt. Kenny (handicap 10) 173, Prvte. Thompson (handicap 10) 171, C_pt. Hubbard (scratch) 170.
