It is necessary to remand him from week to week, and * n p ei'ry came before Mr McCarthy, b.M.. for that purpose this morning he impudently showed his resentment at Having to be kept in gaol for another we«k. ■-•"•■ ■ "You want to keep mo in that-gaol another week, do you," ho shouted "in a threatening manner to Subrlnspector Black, who had made the application.Perry concluded the sentence with a vulgar epithet addressed to the official. "How dare you use such language," interrupted the magistrate sharply.' "Who are you? I_don't care," retorted the deserter instantly. His Worship quickly ended the unseemly display by fining Perry £5 or a fortnight's imprisonment -for contempt of court, and the prisoner was at once shut up in the prisoners' room.
