TRANSVAAL GOVERNMENT QUESTION.
An Inflammatory Speech, (Received 8.53 a.m.) CAPETOWN, February 15.
Mr. Beyers, the Boer ex-General, in a speech at Pietereburg, in the Transvaal, said that unless responsible Government were granted immediately the Boers would be compelled to steal in order to feed their families. Then, he said, there would be a repetition of the slaughter at the Nek in 1815.
Other Boer leaders deprecate these indiscreet tactics.
LONDON, February 15. The press correspondents in the Transvaal emphasise the Boers' bold bid for power by demanding responsible Government with the retention of the old electoral districts.
