(By Telegrapn.— Own Corresponaent.) PABROA, Monday. Harvest thankegiviug services were held !ri tbe Piieroa Methodist Church yesterday. The Rev. E. Cox preached. CoiiiicHlor Grace was to-day elected ac the Ohlnenturi County Council's representative to the Thames Harbour Board. Three candidates from the Paeroa District High School—Andrew J. Sullivan." A. McArthur, and 3. AY. Fawcett—have passed the Junior Civil Service examination, the flrst-natned frith credit. Mr Huttou. of the Warden's .Court, obtained a. partial pass in the senior examination, arid Miss C. Droingool matriculated. These were pupils of Mr J. C. Dromgool. . The. Awaiti tramway dispute is settled. WitiWa practically won the case.
