HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. * '■ - Mr Valentine Yousden, the clever en-< tertainer, mimic, ventriloquist and char- . acter impersonator, will this evening and two following nights present his enjoyable entertainment, "Two Hours' Hearty Laughter." Mr Vousden is acknowledged to be one of the best entertainers who has visifed the colony. His Irish humour is said to be exhaustless, while his impersonation of an eccentric old Irish woman with a loud laugh, is worth going a long way to see. As •& dramatic reciter, imitator, mimic, ventriloquist and humourist Mr Vousden is said to present an entertainment that appeals to all classes, being interesting, attractive and laughter-cornuelling ia the highest degree. OPEN-AIR CONCERT. A delightful open-air concert was given by Mr *Leou Roche's combination at Alexandra Park last evening. There was a very fair attendance, and the grounds and band rotunda, which were illuminated by the electric light, presented a very animated appearance. All the items were rendered in an artistic and finished manner, and were greatly. appreciated by the audience. The pTO-' gramme was as follows: —Songs, '1 Shall Always Love you," Miss Kate Maher; "I Fear no Foe," Mr Leoa Roche; "At the Bottom of the Sea," Mr James Williams; duets, "A Little Bird," Miss Kate Maher and Mr Leon Roche,'* and "Excelsior," Miss Kate Maher and Mr J. Williams: character song, "Tha Great Commander," Miss May Vlda;' plantation part song. "Good Night," the company; "recitations, "The Charge of the Light Brigade," Mr James Martin; cornet solo, "Lord of Ages," Mr Geo. Gee. Musical items were contributed by an efficient orchestra under the direction of Mr E. Burke. Miss May Vida gave some pretty exhibitions of dancing. The entertainment concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. MOONLIGHT- EXCTJBSIOK. The first of a series of moonlight excursions and concerts under the auspices ef. the Bevonport Ferry Co. was held last eveniujf. The fine new steamer Albatross left the wharf about eight o'clock, witi a large crowd of excursionists on board, returning about ten o'clock. During tSie excursion a capital concert programme was rendered, under the management of Mr A. J. Gourlaj-. Tie contributors -were a» follows:—Misses Violet Bark, Tnelma Burke, Messrs H. Aspden, YV.
