1 he s s Phtebe arrived in the Manukau early this morning from the South. She left Dunedin on the 6th, and had a fine trip. We are indebted to Mr Barbour, the purser, for passenger list and files. The barque Martha is ready to sail for Tonga. She has a cargo of timber and general merchandize on board.
The s.s. Hawea left Onehunga this afternoon for the South:—Passangers—Miss Mair, Miss L. Boiler, Miss Adams, Miss Clayton, Hiss Noble, Mrs J. Kiiby, Messrs W. Collins, A. H. Hunter, Thomas Farrell, R. Wilson, and 4 in the steerage, besides others booked at Onehunga.
The brig hyren arrived from Tairua this afternoon. She has come up for repairs after going ashore on the bar at that place. She anchored off Mechanics' Bay upon arrival.
