Toll Case
In the Supreme Court to-day. the Chief Justice delivered a judgment in the toll-gate appeal case Hastwell, (coach proprietor), appellant; Thomson, respondent. The appeal was allowed with costs, on the ground that vehicles of the description specified were exempt by the Act. His Honor added that if the previous case (Young's) had been stated similarly the Court of Appeal would have had no alternative but to allow the appeal.
