PARLIAMENTARY

(FBOM OUM SPECIAL CORRESPON-

DUNT.J

Motion If Mr- Yon der Heyde,

Air. Yon der Heyde has given notice to ask to-day upon what grounds of justice or expediency it is proposed that a railwaywharf at an estimated cost of £35,000 should he built for the port of Wellington out of Colonial funds, whilst at Auckland the wharf accommodation required for railway purposes has to be provided by the Auckland Harbour Board out of monies to be raised under the Harbour Board Act of 1874.

A Bridge of Size Three men importunate,

Plenty of breath. Talk till you're tired out,

Besist to the death. Won't takeyoii tenderly,

Measures ne'er spare, Fashioned so slenderly,

Promising lair.

Grey, Fitz, and Macandrew, You'll find are " beyant you," As Irish say joking, But by jove it's not poking ;

Mere fun will suit such. They'll talk of you scornfully, Cut you up mournfully,

No tender touch. And when there full of yon, And of the suiins of you, All that remains of you,

Won't be worth much.

Where the lights quiver, Down, down on the river,

Of Parliament talk, In they'll plunge boldly, And 'twill not be coldly.

They'll into you walk, Oh ! twill be pitiful, If with a city full.

Eight in your sight, You in abasement Should stand with amazement

Placeless by night.

Hir George's teen wrath Makes yon tremble and shiver, Sarcastic old Eitz, too, Will cause yuu to quiver. Without any history, How yon got there a mystery ; Ycur party ashamed of you, Abolition defamed of you. Cross your bands humbly, As yon can't talk pray humbly — Take a load off your breast. Give np Atkinson's flour dering, And Bowen's poor maundering; Get kicked out into rest Admitting your weakness, Your evil behaviour, And leaving your toadies No one to beslaver.
