HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
THIS AFTEENOON.
Napier Swamp Bill. In the House of Keprestatives at 2.30, Mr Ormond moved the second reading of the Napier Swamp Nuisance Bill, the object being to enable the Swamps to be improved by filling in or otherwise, and by the Cooperation, and to recover from owners of sections. The bill read a second time.
A number of petitions were presented, and notices of motion made.
Revenue Tables.
Mr Reynolds laid several papers on the the table relating to revenue imports, exports and marine department. The latter paper set forth in detail all that had been done regarding lighthouses during the past year. Mr Montgomery was understood to give notice to ask to-morrow for a statement of the amount charged upon each province for sums expended by the General Government on railways.
