Another Missing Vessel.
The late fearful gales of last month wouid appear to have left many a sad memento of their violence. We regret to add the topsail schooner Pearl to the list of missing vessels. This vessel it will be recellected left here for Lyttelton with a cargo of timber on the Bth of last month. She has not jarrived at h«r destination, and no tidings of her have been received up to the present date, although she is now .32 days out. Captain Barnes was in command, and had a crew, of four hands under him. _ She was a schooner of 53 tons. It is singular that ru.n3 of ill-luck seem to pursue vessels. The Pearl* after having narrowly escaped shipwreck at Timaru in the gale which proved fatal to the Success (and it is pobable to the people Jalso) came up here and suffered severely in another gale while alongside the wood-wharf. Then she left for Lyttelton, and even if she is afloat now her long passage will be a source of loss to her owners.
