FAKIR OF OOLU.
The extraordinary illusions of the Fakir of Oolu were greeted last evening by the usual signs of pleasure and approbation from all parts of the theatre. The performances were mostly a repetition of those of the opening ni£;ht, interspersed with witty remarks and side-pleasantries, which never fail in putting an audience in a good humour. The learned "Leo," and the enchanted lady were marvellous in the extreme ; the latter apparently suspended in mid-air without any visible support. This illusion is most perfect, but the most beautiful of the representations, and the one which peems to give pleasure to every beholder, is the "fairy fountain," which sparkles and plays in luminous beauty. We recommend every reader who can afford the time not to lose the opportunity of seeing the transparent illusions of Dr Sylvester, who is undoubtedly, the best magician that has as yet visited the city.
