THE FAKIR OF OOLU.
Great preparations are going on in the Prince of Wales Theatre for the opening performance of Dr. Silvester, the Fakir of Oolu, on Monday night. Our readers do not reqnire to be told by us that they have a treat in store for them, for from the reports and criticisms which have been made public through the press, the Doctor is one of the most marvellous of illusionists. We do not like to indicate the precise features of the entertainment, but we are assured that nothing approaching to it has yet been produced in Auckland. We would therefore recommend our readers to procure their tickets in time, or they may be disappointed, as we learn this afternoon that
nearly all the reserved seats have been taken. The Fakir reached the city yesterday by the s.s. Taranaki, and will open his grand entertainment on Monday evening next, according to announcement.
