NAPIER.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day, Mistaken Identity.
A man Darned Roberts some fortnight since gave valueless cheques here. He is supposed to have gone to Wellington. A warrant was issued for his apprehension, and a man was arressted and brought to Napier, when it was found not to be Roberts. The man was then set at liberty.
Dr Carr lectures to-night on the public men of Napier.
