Detective Grace ;.;-,d liio p- lc« returned from investigating the i> ported murder at Rangiriri. The who'e afi..ir turns out to be hoax circulated by a maori whose name is unknown.
The supposed murderer was found by the police enjoying the social comforts of his maori home surrounded by his |wife and friends, who had congregated to hold a tangi on his wife's remains.
