REMUERA BOARD MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Remuera Highway Board was held last evening in the Episcopalean Schoolroom of the district, Mr J. Y. Stephenson in the chair. Mr James Wrigley, chairman of the passing board, read the financial statement, which shewed rates £410 10s 5d ; subscriptions, £112 14s ; Government grant, £132 ; amount from Provincial Government, £62 10s ; total, £722 6a 9d, which, with the exception ofgl expense of • collecting and salaries, ■ had been expended on works in the district. On the motion of Mr Wrigley, seconded by Mr Young, it was agreed that the rate be Id in the pound on the value to sell. . it was resolved to memoralise the Government for a lamp at the railway crossing, and a resolution was passed for keeping cattle off the run.
