CITY OF YORK G.M.C.

The half-yearly meeting of the shareholders of the City cf York O.M. Co. was held to-day at the offices of Mr H. F.Garland, the manager of the Company. Mr C. J. Stone occupied the chair and moved the adoption of the repoit and balance sheet. Ihe report ret forth that the mine had been protected for three months which had now expired. Contracts for driving had been let and preparation made for working the mine by means of the City of London's shaft and machinery. The receipts for the half-year were :—Balance in bank, 35Z 2s 5d ; calls, 448Z 13s ; refund on Road Account, 021 17s; creditors for unpaid accounts, SIZ Is Id. Expenditure : creditors paid December 31, 1574, 551 03 8d ; mine expenditure, 33SZ 7s 7d; sundry expenses, 4GI lGs. Balance-in Bank, 217Z 15s 3d. Mr W. Eowe seconded the motion, •which was carried unanimously. This was all the business.
