(Per Press Telegram Agency.) Saturday. The Young Pedestrian. The little boy, Scott, accomplished his task of walking 100 miles in 24 hours ; also to beat Edward's time, namely, five minutes under the 24 hours. He did this by 11^ minutes. The theatre was crowded, and the excitement was immense. Large sums of money changed hands. The boy finished with a splendid spurt, completing the last mile in 11^ minutes. The result gave great satisfaction, great sympathy being felt for the boy. He was carried shoulder high.
