[Per Press Telegram Agency.] Saturday.
Walking Match. In the seven-mile walking match between Edwards and McGregor, of Dunedin, the former giving the latter 400 yards, after the lapse of fifteen minutes Edwards collared his man. Then McGregor made a spurt and went ahead splendidly for a time. From this time to the lant mile the match was a close one, but Edwards 'showed up magnificently and won by about 100 yards. Time, 1 hour and 7 minutes.
