The s.s. Taranaki, Captain Lloyd, arrived at Onehunga at ODe o'clock to-day with the Southern portion of the outward 'Frisco mail. She left Dunedin at 4 p.m. on the 3rd, arrived at Taranafei at 1 p m on the Bth; left at 6 p.to, arriving as above. Experienced southerly weather all up the coast. We are indebted to Mr C. J. Edminston, the purser, for our files and report, &c. Passengers : — Saloon : Miss Moun, Captain Short, Col. Harrington, Dr. and Mrs. Grace, Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell, Mr. and Mrs. Grant; Messrs Mendelssohn, Young, Stuart, Morris, Harcourt, Elier, Wright, Beck, Grant, Fraser, Fisher, Davis, Leonard, and nine in tne steerage. ~..,-»» i The s.s. Go-ahead arrived m the Manukau this morning from Wanganui. She brings a quantity of cargo and several passengers. The schooner Gem Has cleared in ballast for Russell. The cuttter Fawn ha« cleared for Russell with 5000 ft timber, 5000 shingles, 3 tons flour, and sundries. The Ruby has cleared for Mercury Bay with a cargo of stores. ; The Sarah, has entered outwards for Melbourne via Wangaroa. The New Zealand Company's ship the Alumbagb, 1150 tons. Captain Lowe, left ' . London for this port on May 9, and the Downs on the 10th. Passpngera : Dr. Warren and niece, and 418 Government immigrants. The ship John Rennie, 847 tons, chartered i by Shaw, Saville 4; Co., left Gravesend for , this port on May 11. She brings a full cargo and the following passengers: Saloon—Mr and Mr Henry Johnson and fonr children, ' Mr 'and Mrs Cuthbert, McKellar, and Mr i Taylor. Second cabin—Mr George Fowle, ' Mr William Martin, Mr R. A. Burgees, Mr , E. P. Hulme, Mr Alfred E. Coppa, and 18 Hi nthe steerage.
