NEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY COMPANY.
The annual local meeting of the above Company was held to-day at the office, Auckland, J. L. Campbell, Esq., presiding. The tenth annual report issued in London last February, and circulated among the shareholders, was accepted as read. The Chairman stated that the businesof the Company had increased so considerably that it was found neccessary since last meeting to call up 30s per share of the seoond issue, All. the shares were now uniform. It was satisfactory to mark the progress made by the company during the year, and he thought their future prospects were equally encouraging. The Hon. James Williamson, the retiring director, was then re-elected on the motion of Mr. Browning, seconded by Mr. W. C. Wilson.
On the motion of Mr. Comisky, seconded by Mr. H.- Kissling, Mr. Browning was elected colonial auditor.
A vote of thanks to the Chairman closed the proceedings.
