June 16. Bitter complaints are made of the adulteration of milk, in some instances to the extent of one-half water. Notice of question has been given in tbe Assembly in reference to the ship City of Calcutta being allowed to depart for Newcastle in an unseaworthy condition ; and also as to the illegal incarceration of a portion of the crew. Markets, dull; currants much wanted ; maize is barely saleable at ss.
