MR. TURNER'S TRAMWAY PROPOSAL.
The proper il to be submitted by Mr W. E. Turner to the City Council to-morrow for the construction of street tramways is as follows:—"I propose to lay down, construct, and maintain tramways through the city of Auckland, and through the suburbs of Newton, Ponsonby, Karangahape, Parnell, and Newmarket and Grafton Koad, and to run cars thereon for the carriage of passengers only.. In Auckland I propose to lay down a double line throughout the whole 6ft Queen-street and to the railway depot, having branch lines running. from Queen-street up throuph Wellesley or one of the,streets ru. uui h parallel -with Wel-
