The Auckland men were heavier, and also had the foot of their opponents, who, though they played up pluckily, were slightly overmatched. The game was won by Auckland by scoring a goal and two "touch downs to nothing on the part of their antagonists. PARNELL V. GRAFTON. This match came off in the Domain and was well contested. There was little to choose between the two sides, Parnell, perhaps, showing a little superiority, .which was the result of their greater weight, for the Grafton boys were as active as fleas in the field.
