Captain Ralls, of the good ship City of Auckland has been kind enough t j send us by the mail a brief account of hia homeward voyage. It will be recollect d that tbe " City" left port on the l^th January in very light trim Captain Ralls reports as follows:—" We lo*t stent of the Barrier on the evenin. of the ]Bhh, having very light winds f r some time.after starting. Passed the Born on the 17th February. Crossed the Equator on the 19th March Passed the Western Islands 4th April. From thereto London had a dead head wind. Made the ?nsh Coast on the 15th April, and landed the ca°se__ers on the 26th April, making the passage from land to land in £7 days, and the full run under the 100 day 3 All well The City of Auckland is loadine for Auckland, and is liktly to sail about the 23ih of this month." From this, it would appear th_ we are likely to see the City again in our waters by about the end of August It is'fortunate for the reputation of the City o Auckland that Captain B*.l's his forwarded the above, for our contemporary the Herald makes the passage occupy 120 days.
