COROMANDEL.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day. The Bismarck has 200 pounds specimens from the stopes in the-Van level. The City of Auckland has upwards of 600 lbs of specimens. The Kapanga shaft is down 282 feet. Royal Oak.- , The Royal Oak manager reports little news. He cannot see any great change in the leaders. No. 1 is looking better. Commenced clearing away the slip at the entrance to the tramway tunnel to further prospect No. 1 leader. Not able to get at the leader for some days. The Tokatea. The Tokatea manager reports that during the early part of the week he got good crushing dirt and a few specimens from the Siege level. They are now through the run of gold until they get another stope forward. The contractors here will be finished next pay - day. The contractors for the Excelsior drive have done their 200 feet and have stripped a small portion of the leader in the face which they think is the Swedish Crown. If so the company will start men to work to make room for use. There is a nice leader in the All Nations drive. This drive is far enough for the winze to connect with the Excelsior level. A few pounds of specimens were obtained from the Van level during the week. The City of Auckland. The City of Auckland manager reports for the fortnight, having taken out 247 lbs of specimens principelly from the stope going in from No. 1 pass, and a few pounds from the leading stopes, making altogether 6591b9, which is expected to increase. They picked up the left hand brarch a few days ago, which will imve as they get away from the slide.
