WANGAREI.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day. Mr Vogel's Next Scheme.
Speaking of the superiority of the Whareora coal, the Comet says ;—" The development of our coal fields is of the greatest importance to the wealth of the colony] and we have heard from a pretty reliable Source that Mr Vogel intends next session to present a bill to Parliament for sanctioning Government to work some of the coal deposits of the colony on a large scale, both for home and export supply. We believe the bill will be as gigantic in a speculative point of view as the famous South Sea Islands Trade Bill."
