This day. The Wellington sailed South on Saturday. Mr Vogel was a passenger. The Lyttelfcon regatta promises to be a great success. The match for sailing vessels under 120 tons will be strongly contested by vessels from all port 3, especially Aucklanders. Two hundred and fifty pounds will be given in prizes. The Christchurch horticultural show will be held the same day. -t is questionable if the inter-provincial , "''^jjJjta comes off. Boating men are averse x ;£q {fulling at Kaiapoi. T' The Velocidade arrived this morning from Newcastle. The Governor returned from Hokitika- on Saturday, and visited Lyttelton yesterday. His yacht, the Blanche, has had a thorough overhaul, with new mainmast and gear. She aails South to-morrow.
Arrived: Lenori, Emperor, and Jane Rowland, from Dtmedin. .Sailed : Jane, for Hobarton. Lhe ship Whitehall sailed for Newcastle this morning.
