This day. , The preliminary prospectus of the Wellington Sugar Refining Company is published ; capital, £12,000 in shares of ten pound each, withpoAvertoincreaseto£2o,ooo. Two thousand shares each to be reserved for allotment in Otago, Canterbury, and Auckland, the remaining 6000 shares for the other provinces of New Zealand and elsewhere. The carpenters and painters are in a very unsettled state respecting the demands for increasing wages. Masters refuse to accede to the proposals. Meetings of each of the trade has been called to discuss the matter fully;
