ONEHUNGA ELECTION.—DECLARATION OF POLL.
The poll for Onehunga was declared to-day by the Returning Ollicer (Mr Barstow) as follows :— G. M. O'Rourke 17S J. Lundon 134 C. C. Fleming 120 The first two were declared duly elected. Thanks were given by the successful candidates for their election, and by Mr Fleming for the support given to him by those who had voted for him, he stating that if it had not been for the member of Auckland voters ho would have then stood before them as theirrepresentative, the people of Onehunga having shewn their desire that he should be their man. Thanks were given also to the Returning Officer for his impartiality and urbanity in conducting the election.
