A block of agricultural land, partly timbered, in the Bay of Plenty, with the best hot-spring in the disttict, has been leased by the Government for 21 years. Hone Te One, a friendly chief at Oatea, is about to hold festivities on the occasion of the opening of his new house. Tawhia has requested his sister Tira to be present with forty followers. The circumstances is regarded as significant and indicating improved relations.
