This day.; The Phcebe has been placed upon the slip and cleaned. She will be painted to-day and to-morrow, and take in cargo and passengers for Sydney. : The Tjiranaki is to be laid up for ten days for a thorough overhaul. Passengers and cargo are being taken on by the Rangatira. The Luna will shortly leave Wellington for a month's trip with a party on board consisting of the Hon. Mr Reynolds, Capt. Johnston, and probably Mr Blackett, C.E. At Port Chalmers she will pick up the Chief Surveyor of Otago. They will determine sites for lighthouses.
