This day. The nomination of candidates for the Waipa is just over. Four were nominated —Messrs Henry Byron, John Knox, T. H. Mabin, Hungerford, and Roche.
The show of hands was—Byron, 22; Knox, 6: Mabin, 13; Roche 2.
Mr Knox demanded a poll, which takes place on tho 22nd.
