This day. Arrived : Star of the South, at six a.m., from Auckland.
: The Poverty Bay Standard states that Captain Read declines to stand for the Council. Messrs Wyllie and Johnson were proposed, and the show of hands was in favour of the latter. The poll will take place on Saturday.
