TAURANGA.
This day. The officers of the Basilisk performed successfully with the Dramatic Club. The hall was crowded with a demonstrative audience.
The Basilisk's blacksmith has in his possession gold-bearing quartz from New Guinea.
The ship leaves probably to-morrow. The Southern Cross is weather-bound at Ohiwa.
There are in the harbour the Vincent, Glance, Leah, and Elizabeth Clarke.
The Basilisk will probably touch at Mercury Bay on her way to Auckland.
