THE REGATTA.
Several crafts have put in an appearance to-day to be rearly to compete in the Regatta on Monday, and their crews are busily engaged in putting their vessels in trim prior to the race, for which the}' will enter. The Kenilworth, schooner, has been kindly placed at the disposal of the Regatta Committee for the flagship, and will be moored in the fairway opposite the wharf. The Golden Crown will cruise about the harbour, following the racing boats to Tiri Tiri, Lighthouse, leaving the wdiarf at 10 o'clock. The Royal Alfred andComeraug will both steam about the harbor during the day returning at intervals to the wharf, from 9 30 a.m. This evening the entries for the various races will be taken at Mr J Copland's Thames Hotel, the rendevous of Regatta Committee, and all desirious of competing in the races should present themselves for the purpose of entering their vessels. The right of charging for admission to the end of the wharf has been let to Mr Page, of the Criterion Hotel, and seats will be provided by him, to accommodate 500 persons in order to command a good view of the regatta.
