To the Editor of the Evening Star.
Sir, —Observing in the account in tl"f, Southern Cross that a man styled aEj Irishman was ill-used by the men at twj meeting last evening, I beg, on the pai|* of the working men, to repudiate it. H<? interfered with the chairman, and would not keep order, even at the request of the men. He was removed without any violence whatever, and told to go home. Tne men are grieved that the Southern Cross should exaggerate on the subject. I am, &c., An Eye-witnkss.
