MASONIC.
We have been favored with an inspection of a massive Past-Master's Jewel, to bo presented to-day to Bro. Beveridge, D.P.G.M., of the Scotch Constitution of Freemasons in this province, by tho Walter Scott Lodge, at the Thames, in rememberance of his services as First Master of the Lodge, and in recognition of his invaluable aid in establishing the Lodgo at Gr&hamstown as well as his services to Masonry in general. It is made of solid gold in the form required by tho Scotch constitution, viz., the square and compasses connected by a segment with a star in the centre. The whole elegantly chased and wrought with a " Cairngorm " forming the eye of the compasses, and a " Carbuncle" in the centre of the star, it is suspended to a ribbon of " Masonic blue " with gold clasps and pin, and altogether reflects great credit on Bro, Macready of Shortland street, the manufacturer, as a specimen of colonial workmanship and " industry."
