ALBURNIA.
To tho Editor of the Evening Star. Sir,—This day's Herald informs us that the Alburni_gfcmalgam yielded splendidly 72 tons, giving 183} ozs. of gold. This lot is only a fair specimen of upwards of 300 tons now lying ready for crushing. If such be the case, and I have no doubt it is, the whole quantity will give about 1,300 ozs., which would be worth £4,000. Can the directors under such circumstances call up all or any of the unpaid capital, while they have that and the large quantity of gold taken from the mine since last June to pay the debt of the company ? I am, &c, An " Unfortunate Victim."
