DIORAMA OF THE FRANCO-PRUS-SIAN WAR.

We have been favored with a private exhibition of Hartman's Diorama of the Franco-Prussian War. It consists of a series of dissolving views beautifully executed and well worth seeing. The war being so fresh in the reader's mind attaches an interest impossible to restrain. We are assured that the exhibition will be accompanied by a highly intelligent lecturer, who will dilate upon the scenes as they appear before the audience, and will give a lucid and graphic description of the progress of the encounter between two of the most powerful nations in the world, commencing at .the battle of Saarbruck, to the final surrender of Paris to the German forces. Amongst tli9 views most worthy of notice we may mention

Saarbruck, Woerth, Sedan, the French leaving Metz by Moonlight, Charge of Prussian Cavalry, Bringing up the Cruns, Uhlans capturing a Balloon, four Lancers leaving Nancy with despatches, only one of whom succeeded in gaining the French lines alive. The diorama will be exhioited at the City Hall on Saturday evening, and will prove a source of interest to many, old and young, it being both amusing and instructive.
