THE CALEDONIAN.—MINE MANAGER'S REPORT.
The following is a copy of a telegram received from the Mine Manager:—
" Jan. 19, 10.55 a.m. " I have now thirty hundredweight of specimens on hand. Run looks well, same as yesterday. Reef six feet thick at bottom level.
« S. E. EICHAEDS." 3 p.m. The Inverness Company are retorting.
The Tramway for this Company from Kuranui Hill tunnel to Alfred Battery is in progress.
Tho Bright Smile Company are crushing at tho Alfred Battery. It is looking like If ozs. to the ton.
The Plying Cloud Company are crushing their specimens at the Manakau battery this morning. It is expected to run about 2 oza. LATEST. 3.20 p.m. The Otago have crushed 10 tons; the lowest yield is 3ozs. lGdwts. to the ton.
Tookey's (Lowe's tribute) have obtained 35ozs. from 611bs. of specimena.
Tho Prince Imperial have put 11 tons through tho battery; the return is 13oza.
