PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
The Two Roses were again produced last evening and gave general satisfaction. Mr. Tayares' Digby Grant was a fine piece of acting. His genteel poverty and sudden rise to affluence to be afterwards again suddenly reduced in circumstances were all depicted in a manner thrt an accomplished actor o:ily can do, Miss Surtces as Lottie, played her part very prettily, The same may be said of Mrs Walter Hill. The rest of the characters were well and evenly sustained by the resident company. The Serious Family was the concluding piece, and the impersonations by Mr Hoskins and Mrs B JN T Jones were provocative of roars of laughter from all parts of the house. Othello will be performed to-night, Mr. Hoskins enacting Othello, and Mr Tavarcs lago, —his grfcat impersonation. As this gentleman }L> ceeds shortly to the Thames, there willlDe very little cliance of the public witnessing his splendid representations in Ancklajad much longer, unless the opportunity vs embraced at once.
A small farmer residing in the hamlet of Villebeau (Seine-et-Oise), has, in a fit of mental aberration, deprived himself of sight, that he might no longer be a witness of the occupation of his country by the Prussians, who had burned down all his property in his presence, a member of his family perishing in the flames.
