MURDER OF MR. TURNBULL AT ESPIRITU SANTO.

Intelligence has been received from Norfolk Island by the Diahot, schooner, that Mr. Thomas Turnbull, chief officer of the whaling barque Adventurer, had been killed by the natives at Espiritu Santo (N.H.). Mr. Turnbull, being well known among the islanders, went on shore with a boat's crew for the purpose of trading, and from some cause or other he was clubbed and killed.
