THE ALBURNIA.
V ; To the Editor of the Evening Stab/ Sib, —In a circular to the shareholders, of the "Alburnia" Gold Mining Company, dated the 10th of January, 1872, the Directors offer what I suppose is intended as an apology for calling up all the unpaid capital to liquidate the debts of the company which amount to over £2,000. The question naturally arises, how could tho Directors so grossly neglect their duty as to suffer such an incubus to be placed on the company. If the shareholders are true to themselves they would insist on
the present Directors being deposed forthwith, and replaced by men in whom they have confidence. It is by conduct such as the present Directors are guilty of, that many of the best mines have been forced into the hands of the official agent. I am, &c, An Unfortunate Victim.
