POLICE COURT.
THIS DAY. Before Thomas Macffarlane, Esq, J P. DEUNKENNESS.
Two persona were punished in the ordinary manner for having been found in the public street in a state of intoxication. DEUNK AND DISOEDEBLY:
John Henderson, who had been liberated on bail, after having been taken up on a charge of being drunk and disorderly, appeared to have rejoiced in so boisterous a fashion on regaining his liberty that he
! again fell into the merciless hands of the police on a similar charge. For the two offences he was fined 20s and costs, with the alternative of 48 hours' imprisonment,
VAGEANCY. Eliza Price and Sarah Elizabeth Yeoman were brought up ( on a charge of being rogues and vagabonds, they having no lawful visible means of support, and having been previously convicted of being idle and disorderly persons. Price was sent to gaol for one year, she being an incorrigible offender, and Yeoman for eight months, both to be put to hard labor.

George Spray was charged by Sergeant Pardy with being of unsound mind, and unfit to be at large. He stated to the Court that there was a conspiracy against him to take his life by cutting his throat, his wife, Powell, a messenger of the Court, and Maddington were all engaged in it. He appeared to be labouring under an hallucination, and Dr. Hooper having been called in examined him and gave the necessary certificates, when he was removed to the Lunatic Asylum for medical treatment.
