"To Messrs A. Buckland, Hunter and JNoland and the other auctioneers of Auckland. We the undersigned country settlers and stoiekeepers are of opinion the existing arrangement of Friday, Marker day in Auckland is most inconvenient to all concerned, and entails considerable loss upon the general farmiag and commercial community j we therefore request respectfully you will revert to the holding your sales for horses, hay, and agricultural produce on Saturday as heretofore."
