ARRIVAL OF THE CITY OF ADELAIDE.
The magnificent s s City of Adelaide, Captain D Walker, arrived in harbour this morning after a capital passage of five and a half days. She left Sydney on Saturday at 5 30 p m, and rounded North Cape at 1 p m on Thursday, and arrived in Auckland on Friday at 830a m. Experienced a strong north east gale with heavy rain and thick weather from Saturday night to Monday afternoon, and fine weather with light variable winds the remaining part of the passage. Passed s s Hero on Tuesday morning, in latitude 34 deg 2 mm south, and longitude 162 deg 49 mm east. Passengers : Mrs Adams, Mrs Tavares, Messrs Tavares, Ogilvey, M.O3es, Kerr, and 15 in the steerage.
