THEATRE ROYAL.
Don Cezae de Bazan was repeated last evening, together with Ixion, for the last time. Both were as usual exceedingly well performed. This evening the programme will consist of Josephine, or the Child of the Regiment, and Ixion, which will be again performed Ly special request.
RELINQUISHING- THE BUSINESS.— CURLS' SUMMER JACKETS, at Hal* Pbice. Also, a lot of Knickerbocker Suits, at "clearing out" prices,—R Hodb3, Upper Queen and Wakefield stroets.
The landlord of the hotel at the foot of Ben Nevis tells a story of an Englishman stumbling into a bog between the mountain and the inn, and sinking up to his arm-pits. In danger of his life, he called out to a tall Highlander who was passing by, " How can I get out of this P" to which the Scotchman replied, " I dinna think ye can," and coolly walked on.
