ITALIAN OPERA.
Donizetti's glorious opera, " Don Pasquale," was . performed last night at the Prince Of Wales Thea re with success, such as has not attended any previous entertainments given by Cagli's troupe, great as their sujcess has hitherto been, dignor Grrandi, as the oil Don, was above all .praise or criticism, and his wonderful powers of acting and facial expression, combined with his excellent interpretation of the music, rendered it almost unecessary for a person to understand the language in which the songs were delivered. The Signora Oortesi also achieved, a great triumph in,the part of Norina, and the other.autors cohtri-' buted largely to the success of this piece, which is of that class scarcely requiring words to make intelligible the design. At the close of each act the singers were called before the curain, and after the termination of it he opera the tro principals were almost buried in fl-Wers, like the babes in the Wood. "II l'rovatore" is to be repeated to-night. ,<-. '} U J
