The usual weekly sittings in bankruptcy jurisdiction waa hold this morning, and the following business disposed of:—
Re Richard Bach anb Son (Deed of Abhangement ) —Mr. Boveridge Baid that tho preliminary forms in conformity with the Act ha 1 been complied with. The only question wna, whether the gazette notice, which wns only published that morning, was sufficient ? 2 fclo would, therefore, with the siinotion of the Court, make the application (pro forma) for the declaration of the due execution of the deed, and renew the application for the usual order nest Court day.
: In the Estate oj? Albert Ephbaik Coiikn. —This caae bad been adjourned for the attendance of Mr. Morris Marks, and J other witnesses, in respect, of the condition of ! the estate. The Registrar informed His ! Honor that it had been .arranged bj counsel \ that the further hearing ehould be adjourned by consent He James Rice. —Mr. S. E. Hughes for the bankrupt} Mr. Hesketh for Bell; Brothers; Mr. Beveridg& for Mr. Alfred' Bncklund. —The bankrupt was examined at j great lenyl!i last Court-day, and a number v.{ : transactions of au equivocal character were ; elicited.— -The examination by Mr. Beveridge ! had not concluded when the Court, rose— Mr. Beveridge resumed his examination, and examined the witness upon the credibility of the statements made by the bankrupt in respect, to mone,\ s paid to him and by him, for which I receipts were given.—A number of those re- , ' oeipti were produced. '
